Solo Nevada High Desert Run - Page 4

After running the Jungo Road from Gerlach to Winnemucca, I decided to see if I could reach my Dad's ranch which is in the heart of the high desert hills about 60 miles due North (as the crow flies) from Gerlach... so essentially coming almost all the way back West from Hwy 140 from the East on all dirt roads through the high desert mountains and hills. It was a fun mini-adventure and true dual-sporting on my Triumph Tiger

cyb > One of the better sections. I was too busy stand-up riding through the rough stuff to stop and take pictures. Lots of sharp volcanic rocks, deep chuckholes, ruts deeper than my axles where a low, wide BMW GS would have had a very hard time.

cyb > Scenic road beds. Saw a lot of antelope running across the sagebrush at amazing speeds. Too fast to get out my slow digital camera.
